The stage is set for a prime-time party at Javelina Stadium on Saturday night as the Javelinas have their second home game of the 2024 season against the Sul Ross Lobos.
The tailgating will be extra as the game falls on family weekend, which is packed full of fun things to do all day with university family and friends.
The first 1,000 fans at the game will receive a Texas A&M University-Kingsville rally towel presented by Ultra Screen Printing and more.
This game brings together high powered offenses.
The Lobos are in town following their home game against Western Oregon.
The Lobos will be led by junior quarterback Andrew Martinez and leading receiver Yamil Oaxaca with Jordan Morales in the backfield.
The Javelinas will have to be on the lookout for Lobos defensive leading tacklers Quincy Blair and Brendon Martin.
After three games, the Lobos averaged 30 points a game and gave up 43 points to opponents.
The Javelina football team will be looking to lean on running backs Roger Hagan and Santana Scott to carry the load to the winning finish line.
The running back room will be reloading though with star running back Lawerence Starks returning in the coming weeks.
I will be looking out for the quarterback room though with quarterbacks Kannon Williams and Teague Sedtal splitting reps.
The Javelina defense leads the conference and has allowed the least number of points scored.
The defense will also be returning Louisiana Tech transfer Eric Barnes who is set to play nickelback this week.
I think the Sul Ross Lobos will struggle against our star-studded defense.
The Javelinas are prepared to take on a weaker team which will be out coached and out played
The family weekend showdown is sure to be one to tune into the Javelina football team as they try to sit atop the Lone Star Confrence rankings.
