RICHARDSON, Texas – Rashon Thomas (Houston, Texas) has been named as one of the recipients of a Lone Star Conference Degree Completion Scholarship, the LSC announced on Thursday.Thomas completed his final year of eligibility with the Texas A&M-Kingsville men’s basketball team in March of 2020 and is studying to complete his degree in Industrial Management and Applied Technology.This makes one more honor for the senior from Houston, who was named the LSC’s Sixth Man of the Year in March and earned a spot on the all-conference second-team. He came off the bench to lead the Javs in scoring during the 2019-20 campaign, helping them reach their highest win total ever in conference play along with a bid to the NCAA Tournament for the sixth time in school history.The purpose of the LSC Degree Completion Scholarship Program is to provide financial assistance for completion of a first baccalaureate degree to deserving student-athletes in the conference.
