A dive into the artist’s latest album release
In recent years, Zach Bryan has been a rising star in the country music industry. His most recent album, named after himself, has seen a mixture of emotions from his fanbase. Being a major Zach Bryan fan myself, I listened to the full album immediately following its release and despite the mixed emotions others have had with it I have found it to be one of his best.
A few songs that stood out the most to me were “El Dorado,” which seems to tell the story of a guy who lost touch with his best friend and how he hopes to reconnect after time has passed, and “East Side of Sorrow,” which tells the life story of a man going through the military and the losses in his life. While this album did not reach the same level as his most successful album titled “American Heartbreak,” it does have its own set of uniqueness and with that I feel that is something that people seem to overlook when listening to this album.
I believe that the songs on there each have their own story to tell which is something my family and I love about his music. Overall, I feel like as time goes on and people begin to listen more to the songs on the album it will begin to grow on them. Aside from the two songs I had mentioned the others that I feel were among the best were “Hey Driver” and “I remember Everything.” “Hey Driver” has a catchy upbeat tone to it while “I Remember Everything” is more serious and slower but both do complement each other nicely and tell their own story very well. If you are a country music fan like myself, I encourage you to not only check out the album he just released but his other albums as well.
