I just wish that I had put away that fear of putting too much on my plate and just participated in writing. The people at The South Texan helped me find a way to work with my schedule, and I appreciate that so much.
Working as a reporter has made me more confident and has helped me with my writing. I just find it sad that I did not join it till now. I feel as if The South Texan is like a safe place for some people.

The pressure of working, going to school and keeping up with the homework was a lot, so I denied the opportunity, but she reminded me that if I was ever interested in writing that The South Texan would be right there and welcoming.
I wish I had put myself out there and tried to participate. These past two months have been great, and I am so glad that I got the opportunity to write for The South Texan.
Ms. Morris, Aryssa, Iliana and Darcy have been super helpful. There are so many ways that working here has improved me as a person and as a writer. I am more than thankful for all the opportunities that were given to me.
