Begin your ‘Road To Glory’
It’s been almost 10 years since Electronic Arts (EA) released one of the greatest football games of all time and in 2025, a year plagued with uncertainty, EA has done justice once again.
The hype built around this game was insane which caused 2.2 million people (including myself) to pre order the game for three days of early access for $100.
EA rebranded its last college game from “NCAA 14” video game to “College Football 25” which is an adequate representation of the major change this game brings.
“College Football 25”,
has three major game modes that were in the last college football game and has changed the football game world with them “Road to Glory,” “Dynasty” and “Ultimate Team.”
“Road to Glory” is a mode that lets you create your own character that attends a school of your choosing in which you earn your starting spot as you start as a two-star recruit or walk in as a starter as a five-star recruit.
This mode also allows you to manage your GPA and being a college student where you have to make decisions that affect your playing time and trust with your coach.
I started out as a two-star recruit, and I went to New Mexico and had to sit for a year so it was a little slow at first but once I became a starter it was really fun and really lets you control your own destiny
I think it’s what “Madden” truly needed because it allows you to be in the game and play as yourself and follow a story.
The next mode would be “Ultimate Team” which is in “Madden” but it is probably my least played game mode in “College Football 25”, but my good friend Matt and I agree that being able to make your own team with random college stars is great.
My favorite mode is “Dynasty” where you get to take over any team as a head coach, offensive coordinator or defensive coordinator.
This is my favorite mode because you get to actively recruit players, entice players to your university and play as your handcrafted team.
Another thing that’s worth noting is you are able to put your own custom college and uniforms in the game and allows you to play as them.
Lastly, I don’t think this game is a “Madden” reskin because the movement is so much different and the game is a lot more fluid in its movement and there’s no more broken “X Factors.”
