Review: Tyler, the Creator is back again

‘Chromakopia’ has something for everyone

After over 10 years in the industry, Tyler, The Creator has once again showed fans a new version of himself.

Tyler, The Creator’s latest album, “Chromakopia,” is a vibrant and eclectic mix that continues to push the boundaries of his musical creativity.

The album seamlessly blends genres, incorporating elements of hip-hop, jazz and R&B, showcasing Tyler’s versatility as an artist.

One of my favorite songs from the album is “Sticky” which features other artists including GloRilla, Sexxy Redd and Lil Wayne. The song is upbeat, hype and the additional features make it even better.

“Like Him” is another track that shows us a more personal side of Tyler, as it discusses his relationship with his father and the effect it has on his own personal identity.

The production is lush and detailed with each track offering something unique. Lyrically, Tyler delves into themes of self-discovery and personal growth, making “Chromakopia” not just a sonic journey but an emotional one as well. Fans of his previous work will appreciate the evolution in his sound, while new listeners will find plenty to enjoy in this bold and innovative album.

The album earned over 85 million streams on Spotify its first day making it one of the biggest rap album debuts of 2024. Love him or hate him, this album has something for everyone to enjoy. All in all, I give “Chromakopia” an 8 out of 10
