See it, Build it, Make it Happen

Students envision tomorrow, beyond

The Campus Activities Board (CAB) recently hosted an event for students to gather together at the Javelina Student Engagement Center to create vision boards while also enjoying a movie and snacks.

This event was organized to provide students with a space to enjoy their leisure time and get creative by putting together a collage of what they hope to accomplish in the new year.

Students were provided with a variety of patterned and colored paper, markers, magazines and stickers so that they could have creative freedom while putting together their vision boards.

Not only did this event provide students with a fun atmosphere, but it also provided them with a space to establish a plan or set of goals and envision what they hope to achieve in the future.

“I think it’s important for students to make a vision board because I think that it promotes growth,” general member of CAB Adriana Waffle said

Fellow CAB member Diana Ruiz added, “I think they’re so important because it just helps you visualize what you want your future to look like.”

Overall, the event was a fun and great way to encourage students to socialize and set personal goals, students said.

“Well mostly just chilling with my friends, talking with people, just interacting with everyone,” student Gavin Smith said of the event. “I always go here every event y’all have so I’m not going to miss another one.”

The Campus Activities Board works hard to plan and organize fun events that unite the students on campus.
