When the familiar Eras Tour clock appears on the big screen, everybody tenses at the unexpected throwback and is immediately giddy with anticipation.

When news hit that Taylor Swift would be having album release parties in theaters from Oct. 3 to 5 for her new album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” tickets started selling fast. The showing included a first look at her new music video for her song, “The Fate of Ophelia,” visual lyric videos and her own explanations for each brand-new song.

Every Swiftie knows that this was her version of a sort of “secret session” for the fans that wanted to get to know her new music more.

Even if you aren’t a Swiftie, Taylor’s impact is undeniable. She’s built a fanbase of people that not only support her but support each other. Movie theaters worldwide were packed with fans dancing and singing along to all her new music. Getting to hear her thought process behind every song was very eye opening and informative. It was refreshing to hear that most of these songs in this new album reflect her happiness in real life compared to her last album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” which was filled with raw heartbreak and lyrics that would make William Shakespeare shed a tear.

“The Life of a Showgirl” is a new era of vibes and catchy beats. Produced by Max Martin and Shellback, who have also worked with Taylor on her albums “Red,” “1989” and “Reputation,” this album is very pop centered with sounds meant to be fun and dance worthy. Sabrina Carpenter is featured in the title track following a story of a fictional showgirl named Kitty Finlay, a little nod to her grandmother Marjorie Finlay and her mother’s great Dane, Kitty.

Along with lyric videos and music explanations, fans got a first look at her new music video along with the behind the scenes. Taylor isn’t just a songwriting genius and showgirl; she is also the director and writer of her own music videos. Getting to see the filming and choreography process of the entire production was so fun and interesting. Especially with the dancers from the Eras Tour reuniting for the special occasion. My Swiftie heart was so full in that theater.

While the album did create a lot of mixed reviews on this new chapter in Swift’s life, one thing is for sure, that the community built between her fans is still as strong and unique as ever. Due to the fans’ endless support, Taylor was the first artist since Prince to have the No.1 song, album and movie worldwide, all weekend long. She also broke Adele’s Billboard record for most albums sold within the first week of release after selling 3.5 million copies of her new record. Now that’s the life of a showgirl.

Movie theaters host album release party As Swifties sit in a dark theater – some in sparkly orange cardigans and some with wrists full of…

[6

297
post-11898","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-entertainment
https://thesouthtexan.com/wp-content/litespeed/avatar/f377685e6395e6cb16cabfb12ad7328a.jpg?ver=1775007889","0":null,"1":"","2":"","3":"","4":"","5":"","6":"","7":"","8":"
["GET
