\nPerformance dates are April 25 and 26, 2020<\/strong>\nin the NEW MUSIC BUILDING!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nIf you are cast you MUST register for MUSI 1159 (Musical Theatre) and be available to attend classes MWF 3-3:50 pm. There will be additional dance rehearsals called weekly. There\nwill be additional weekend rehearsals, especially March 29, April 5, the weekend of April 18\/19. There will be weeknight rehearsals April 13-24.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nAuditions will be held Sunday, December 1 in the Recital Hall. If you ABSOLUTELY cannot make this audition, please contact Dr. Brou, <\/strong>melinda.brou@tamuk.edu<\/strong><\/a>\nProof of conflict will be required.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nFor the audition\u2014FILL OUT THE AUDITION FORM (available on the opera board in the music building) and bring it with you to the dance audition! On the opera board, you will also sign up\nfor an audition time and you will be able to pick up a sheet that has all of the lyrics to the audition cuts.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nDance:<\/strong> There will be a dance call from 3:45-4:45 pm in the recital hall (nothing needed to prepare,\njust wear clothes you can move in, and preferably smoother soled shoes so you can dance easier. Don\u2019t let the shoes stop you from auditioning, though).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nSinging: <\/strong>You will sing two things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\u00b7 The first is 30-45 seconds of something that shows you off well<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\u00b7 Can be any style jazz\/pop\/broadway\/etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\u00b7 You can sing this accompanied or a cappella.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\u00b7 If you choose to sing it accompanied, you must have sheet music and have the cuts clearly marked and be ready to give the accompanist your tempo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\u00b7 We will cut you off if your singing goes over 45 seconds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\u00b7 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nThe second is something you will prepare from Chicago\u2014<\/p>\n\n\n\n
