{"id":3671,"date":"2020-03-06T17:45:12","date_gmt":"2020-03-06T17:45:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thesouthtexan.com\/?p=3671"},"modified":"2020-03-06T17:45:18","modified_gmt":"2020-03-06T17:45:18","slug":"open-your-heart-and-wallet-this-valentines-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thesouthtexan.com\/index.php\/2020\/03\/06\/open-your-heart-and-wallet-this-valentines-day\/","title":{"rendered":"Open your heart and wallet this Valentine\u2019s Day"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Picture this, Valentine\u2019s Day is approaching and you just spent the last bit of your financial aid on a brand-new Xbox and pay day isn\u2019t for another week.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You want to get that special someone something nice to show them how much you care, but your bank account says otherwise.\u00a0Well fear not, with a little creativity and thought you can create a memorable Valentine\u2019s gift.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First and foremost, the starting point of all gift giving is listening. You need to know what your person likes and from there, you can create a gift they will appreciate.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Casually ask your Valentine what their favorite snack is or what they love to eat.\u00a0These kinds of questions will help shape the direction you want to take your gift in.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, the first stop needs to be HEB to pick up the snacks.\u00a0The candy aisle has nearly every candy this time of the year.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year I found the candy I needed for my Valentine and a little something for myself for just under five bucks!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My next stop was Target, and while Target is normally a little pricey the front of the store has what\u2019s called, \u201cDollar Spot.\u201d\u00a0This section was full of small Valentines gifts that I picked up and used to make the gift look complete.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My final stop was Hobby Lobby, and this is where the creativity came into action.
