{"id":5334,"date":"2021-02-17T18:16:00","date_gmt":"2021-02-17T18:16:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thesouthtexan.com\/?p=5334"},"modified":"2021-03-19T18:31:45","modified_gmt":"2021-03-19T18:31:45","slug":"javelina-softball-spring-semester-season-opener","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thesouthtexan.com\/index.php\/2021\/02\/17\/javelina-softball-spring-semester-season-opener\/","title":{"rendered":"Javelina softball spring semester season opener"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>Head coach Nicholson gets his 100th win, and schedule changes due to weather<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Softball is back\u00a0for the Javelinas this year, with two season opening matchups against San Angelo State and St. Mary\u2019sboth going in favor to\u00a0the Javelinas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 4-2 victory over the Rambelles and\u00a0the 2-0 victory over the Rattlers not only\u00a0give the TAMUK ladies a 2-0 start to the season for the third consecutive season,\u00a0but it also gives reason to congratulate coach Craig Nichol- son on reaching the\u00a0100-win mark in his\u00a0tenure here as the head coach for the Lady Javelinas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI didn\u2019t even know honestly,\u201d Nicholson said of the 100th win. \u201cBut that just shows the direction this program is going\u00a0in.
