Find creative ways to carry your IDs, credit cards and cash to avoid losing them or potentially being robbed.

Try switching to a new smaller wallet in case you misplace it, or travel with a small fanny pack to avoid placing down items such as purses or backpacks and potentially forgetting about them.

You’ll want to pack a few essentials for daily travel but make sure you pack light to avoid lug- ging around unneces- sary items as you travel.

Staying aware of your surrounds is important when traveling to new and old places.

As you make your annual trip to the beach it’s important to know the different ways to help yourself if caught in a riptide.

Riptides will pull you further away from the shore and can be dangerous and at times deadly. If you happen to get caught in a riptide, try to remain calm and remember to swim parallel to the shore in order to escape the riptide.

And last but not least when at the beach, swimming in the pool or exploring a new city, wear sunscreen. Although you may think you’ll be fine without it or think the overcast will protect you, it won’t.

Wear sunscreen anytime you know you’ll be exposed to UV light for more than an hour. Sunscreen should be a part of your daily routine, though if you’re only going to wear sunscreen once a year, now is the time.

As summer begins make sure to be aware of what you’re doing and the places you go. Pack and wear your sunscreen, but most importantly have fun!

Having fun, staying safe during vacay With summer finally here and vacation plans in place there are a few things you need to keep in mind…

[6

195
post-5611","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-entertainment
https://thesouthtexan.com/wp-content/litespeed/avatar/16b00811e260d2068b61907787d9e60e.jpg?ver=1778633080","0":null,"1":"","2":"","3":"","4":"","5":"","6":"","7":"","8":"
["GET
