This is when you really start to build a connection and fall into a routine of daily communication with someone who has piqued your interest. However, sometimes things don’t always go in the direction we had hoped, hence the term ghosting.

Ghosting is essentially when somebody you have been talking to suddenly cuts you off with no warning or explanation as to why and leaves you questioning yourself and everything that led up to that point.

Let’s face it, we have all, at some point or another, been ghosted. It’s a sucky feeling, especially when we had a genuine care for the person who chose to immaturely leave the way they did. Even though getting ghosted creates feelings of negativity in one’s self with thoughts of not being good enough and wondering what you did wrong, life goes on. We have to move on to the next.

According to certified psychiatrist Margaret Seide, people who ghost usually do so for one of two reasons.

The first reason is that the ghoster could not be the confrontational type and would rather dip than have an uncomfortable talk as to why they didn’t see it going any further.

The second reason is that they could have been balancing multiple other options the entire time and you just didn’t make the cut.

The worst part is you’ll more than likely never know the reason they left. You’ll never get that closure you deserve.

Yes, you’re going to be sad for a while, but eventually that feeling will go away and someone new will come along.

People say they always come back but you can’t let them back in, not after what they did to you. You’re better than that and you’re better than them.

So, a final word of advice to you: this spooky season be someone’s boo, not a ghost.

With Halloween right around the corner we’re sure to run into some unfriendly witches, trolls, but above all else, ghosts. I don’t mean the stereotypical,…

[7

157
post-6149","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-opinion
https://thesouthtexan.com/wp-content/litespeed/avatar/aad386abfc934a56ffa7e20b89dd44f4.jpg?ver=1778637593","0":null,"1":"","2":"","3":"","4":"","5":"","6":"","7":"","8":"
["GET
