{"id":6202,"date":"2021-10-29T16:42:20","date_gmt":"2021-10-29T16:42:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thesouthtexan.com\/?p=6202"},"modified":"2021-10-29T16:42:20","modified_gmt":"2021-10-29T16:42:20","slug":"javelinas-roll-over-lincoln-university","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thesouthtexan.com\/index.php\/2021\/10\/29\/javelinas-roll-over-lincoln-university\/","title":{"rendered":"Javelinas roll over Lincoln University"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Javelina football team defeated Lincoln University&nbsp;on Saturday night&nbsp;in&nbsp;their final non-conference game&nbsp;with a final score of 51-21.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the first time this season that the Javelinas were able to break a 50-point game,&nbsp;and&nbsp;this win makes the Javelinas overall record 3-3 and conference record 1-2.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe have a winning record and that says a lot thinking back to all of the diversity we have gone through as a team,\u201d Craig Clemons, a wide receiver for the Javelinas,&nbsp;said. \u201cWe\u2019ve all sacrificed to have a great season and it looks well as of right now.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During all&nbsp;four&nbsp;quarters of the game&nbsp;the Javelinas held the lead starting with a touchdown early on in the first quarter. The Javelinas got into the endzone three times in the first quarter putting the score at 19-0 to go into the second quarter of the game.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lincoln was able to put their first points on the board with a touchdown in the second quarter.&nbsp;The&nbsp;Javelinas were also able to score and bring in 7 more points making the score 26-7 going into halftime.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;Javelinas&nbsp;opened up the second half with the first touchdown of the third quarter.
