The aim of the event was to spread awareness about job opportunities on campus and to answer frequently asked questions regarding the application process. The career fair hosted tables from the Center for Student Success, Javelina Dining and other departments on campus.

“Today, we’ve got about seven departments here that are hiring for regular wage and work study positions,” Ralph Leal, director of career services at TAMUK, said. “All the other positions we have available are primarily going to be in Javelina Careers powered by Handshake.”

The career fair was the first event held by Career Services since the pandemic started.
