{"id":7548,"date":"2022-09-08T06:00:00","date_gmt":"2022-09-08T06:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thesouthtexan.com\/?p=7548"},"modified":"2022-09-07T19:35:15","modified_gmt":"2022-09-07T19:35:15","slug":"review-lincoln-a-whimsical-adventure","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thesouthtexan.com\/index.php\/2022\/09\/08\/review-lincoln-a-whimsical-adventure\/","title":{"rendered":"Review: Lincoln, a whimsical adventure"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">&#8217;80s Classic turning 34 years old<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Brooklyn, New York, duo They Might Be Giants\u2019 second studio album \u201cLincoln\u201d cemented itself as a hallmark of the indie music scene and is arguably one of the best records of the 1980s.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Throughout its 40-minute runtime, multi-instrumentalist and keyboardist John Linnell and guitarist John Flansburgh pack together 18 unique songs that still captivate their listeners 34 years after its release.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Listeners of \u201cLincoln\u201d are in for a unique listening experience and are sure to enjoy this wonderful work of art from the two Johns.
