As we all begin to settle into our routines for the Fall 2022 semester, let\u2019s not forget we are still experiencing the effects of March 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While it has been nearly three years since COVID-19 has drastically changed many people\u2019s lives and we are beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel, we shouldn\u2019t forget to still remain vigilant and prevent the spread. This especially applies to those who choose to believe that the virus has magically disappeared forever, or to those who think their vaccination status makes them automatically immune. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It\u2019s perfectly normal for us, as college students, to go out and party and have fun, but it should never be at the expense of our fellow peers\u2019 health. Due to a recent local spike in cases, it\u2019s obvious that some people have essentially moved on from the pandemic and are not taking any precautionary measures to protect themselves and the people around them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
While it\u2019s easy to say \u201cWell COVID is just like the flu now,\u201d it doesn\u2019t make it any less serious and even deadly in some cases. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I believe we should remember to be kind this semester and to think about how our actions can affect each other, so that we can all have a great college experience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Remember to wash your hands regularly, use hand sanitizer and most importantly stay home if you feel ill, and if you think you were exposed there is still free COVID testing on campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I hope this influences us to remember that our choices do have consequences and we should always think before we act, especially when the health of the general public is concerned. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Above all, remember to have fun this semester while also remaining cautious so that we can all be healthy Javelinas!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
