{"id":7780,"date":"2022-10-18T21:10:00","date_gmt":"2022-10-18T21:10:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thesouthtexan.com\/?p=7780"},"modified":"2022-10-19T21:18:07","modified_gmt":"2022-10-19T21:18:07","slug":"javelinas-staying-safe-during-homecoming","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thesouthtexan.com\/index.php\/2022\/10\/18\/javelinas-staying-safe-during-homecoming\/","title":{"rendered":"Javelinas staying safe\u00a0during homecoming"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Annual Sober Spirits event held<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Student Engagement, along with PEP Talk, the Office of Employment Services and the Javelina Wellness Center, joined forces at Sober Spirits last week to showcase services offered on campus and to share some tips on how to stay safe during homecoming week.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More than 300 students, faculty and staff attended the event and completed stations around the pavilion.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Several local organizations attended the event such as The Purple Door, the Women\u2019s &amp; Men\u2019s Health Services Clinic, and many more. This was the first year that faculty and staff were invited to attend, as Sober Spirits has been used as an event to give students safety tips for homecoming week.
