On Dec. 10, 2020, video game developer CD Projekt Red (CDPR) released one of the most anticipated games video games of the decade \u201cCyberpunk 2077.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Following the massive amount of hype for the game, the gaming world was turned upside down when \u201cCyberpunk 2077\u201d launched with mixed reviews and a variety of technical issues making the game unplayable to some players.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, CDPR did not give up on the state of the game. They continued to fix the technical errors and update the game with new content. Things started to shift positively for \u201cCyberpunk 2077\u201d when Netflix premiered \u201cCyberpunk: Edgerunners,\u201d an anime series animated by Japanese Studio Trigger under the supervision of CD Projekt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Sept. 26 earlier this year, CDPR released \u201cPhantom Liberty\u201d an expansion to \u201cCyberpunk 2077\u201d featuring Idris Elba (\u201cThe Suicide Squad\u201d and \u201cThe Wire\u201d) to play a prominent role in the expansion\u2019s story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Along with \u201cPhantom Liberty\u201d CDPR released the games 2.0 update which brought massive changes to the base game, making the gameplay feel like a breath of fresh air to both new and returning players.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Both \u201cPhantom Liberty\u201d and the 2.0 update were received well from both critics and fans, even bringing an abundance of new players to adventure the in-game world of Night City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
