Texas A&M University-Kingsville (TAMUK) prepares to welcome alumni as students prepare to walk the stage to graduate on Dec 8. Graduation will be separated with two ceremonies located in the Steinke Physical Education, Gymnasium. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The first ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. for students graduating from the College of Arts and Sciences and the College of Education and Human Performance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The second ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. for students under the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, College of Business Administration and College of Engineering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cApproximately 500 prospective graduates are expected to walk the stage next week during two ceremonies,\u201d Chief of Marketing and Communication Adriana Garza- Flores said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nadia Hernandez is an undergraduate who is majoring in English and preparing for the big day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The passion Hernandez has for writing creative stories for TAMUK\u2019s theatre program has inspired her for what the future holds after graduation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI think once I graduate, I\u2019ll feel accomplished. I\u2019ve written so much, I\u2019ve worked so hard, I think I\u2019ll finally be able to sit down and have a nice, long victory nap before I continue onto the next chapter of my life,\u201d Hernandez said. \u201cI\u2019m taking a semester off to apply for a master\u2019s program in either Creative Writing or Media.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hernandez is not the only one excited to graduate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Claudia Trevi\u00f1o is a graduate student working on her master\u2019s in business administration. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThrough these degrees that I have obtained and the education that I have learned here at Texas A&M University-Kingsville, I have only added value to myself,\u201d Trevi\u00f1o said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
