 FUNDING SELECTION ANNOUNCED FOR KLEBERG COUNTY TEXAS COASTAL MANAGEMENT PROGRAMS
Innovative project in Kleberg County to receive funding for completion
KINGSVILLE, TEXAS – The Texas General Land Office has designated a project in Kleberg County to qualify for funding under the Texas Coastal Management Program (CMP) Grant Cycle 25. This project will improve the management of the state’s coastal resources and ensure the long-term ecological and economic productivity of the coast.  The CMP will fund a “Project of Special Merit” under Grant Cycle 25 in Kleberg county. This project is funded through the Gulf of Mexico Energy Security Act (GOMESA). The project will commence in 2020. 

This project will: Help the state acquire new land for coastal protectionIdentify the source of water pollution problemsPlan for future restoration projects to enhance the overall resiliency of the coast.
