Student Government Association looking for new members

The Texas A&M University-Kingsville Student Government Association (SGA) is seeking students to join its organization.

Members want students who are committed to helping the university and who show great leadership inside and outside of school.

“I love being a part of SGA and being able to hear from different students about what they like and don’t about campus life, in order to suggest changes to improve everyone’s college experience,” SGA President Micayla Grossman said.

If any students have questions about joining and how to be a part of the organization, the SGA office is in the Student Union Building, on the second floor, in Room 201.

The SGA president and the other executive SGA members are in the office to help and guide students into the right direction on how to join. The application process is very short and easy, it only takes about a couple of minutes to complete. Many people have had great experiences from being a part of this organization and would love others to join.

“It seems like if I were to join SGA, it would really help me grow as a student and also as a person, and I can tell that it would be an amazing experience to have while being new to campus,” freshman Keerstin Garza said.

Around campus there are also many flyers that explain how to join SGA, and the flyers also have a QR code with the application to join. All you have to do is hold your camera on the QR code and the application should pop up.

“I love being around my SGA family, I have learned so much and have encountered many great experiences, as well as meeting many wonderful people from being in this organization,” SGA Chief of Staff Ruben Martinez said.
