Saving money has never been easier
Inflation is currently on the rise and putting things we need at crazy high prices. Luckily, with just a few clicks, we can begin saving money on these purchases.
There are plenty of places that offer coupons but one of the ones that offers the most savings is Dollar General. Dollar General is a great beginner-friendly store to help kick start your couponing journey.
To make an account all you have to do is download the Dollar General application on your phone. Once the app is downloaded create your own account for free. It will only take a few minutes to create this account with your email address and phone number.
Once you are done you will be prompted to a screen that has five different tabs at the bottom to choose from, when you see that you can start finding amazing deals.
At the bottom of the screen click the “Deals” tab and click “View all,” from there you will see all the coupons that Dollar General has for the week.
You can pick and choose all the coupons you would be interested in using from food to hygiene products and even school supplies.
Once all the coupons you want to use are clipped you are ready to go to the store and find some of the best deals.
If you are wanting to use a coupon on something like laundry detergent and you see it grab it.
Open your Dollar General app and click on the “Home” tab. At the top right there is a bar code.
Click the bar code and line up the product to the little square on the app. The app will scan your items and tell you if the product attaches to a coupon.
There will be a screen that pops up and click “add to list.” Add all the products you want to your list.
To find your list go to the tab at the bottom of the screen labeled “Account,” there you will be prompted to a screen that has multiple tabs. Click “Shopping List” and there you will see all the products you’ve added. Click the bottom arrow and you will see all your savings.
Now that you have everything you need in your shopping cart, you are ready to check out.
The cashier will start scanning all your products. While the cashier is scanning you will input your phone number on the card pad.
When you are finished, and the cashier is done scanning, all your coupons will apply and boom you just completed your first couponing trip at Dollar General!
For the best savings make sure to clip the five off of twenty-five coupons that Dollar General has that is only good every Saturday.
This will give you the best savings on your purchase of $25 or more every Saturday.
