Review: Mariachis Burger House will have you singing with joy

The pace that leaves you craving for more

The city of Kingsville has a lot of good eats around town. Spice Station and Young’s Pizza to name a few, but one hidden gem not a lot know about is Mariachis Burger House.

This place is located 621 W. Corral Ave past the Kwik Pantry and right next to the Chi Alpha Building.

This is a one-stop place where you can get a burger and a bang for your buck. The first thing I want to start with is the atmosphere of the place.

When you enter, you are welcomed in a very South Texas, Tex-Mex feel and there is always a staff member ready with a menu.

As for the menu, there are a lot of burgers to choose from as well as Tex-Mex food and wings; there is a wide and good variety on the menu.

Once you order, you are given classic chips and salsa. The chips are light in color, have a good crisp to them and are not that salty.

As for the salsa, you can tell that it does not come from a jar that says, “Made in New York City.”

Be warned that the sauce has a good kick to it, but it will not kick you too hard to where you are sweating as if your significant other got your phone passcode.

Now when it comes to the burgers, I have a lot of good things to say. First, it is a big and proportionate burger. A lot of burger joints tend to get it wrong.

It is either a big patty but small bread, making the burger a big glop of protein, or a small patty and huge bread making it nothing more than a huge slab of carbohydrates. Mariachi got it right.

When it comes to the taste, it has a similar taste to Whataburger but a little better. The bun was a little buttery but not enough to make it soggy.

The patty is exactly right, not too dry, not too greasy with just the right amount of vegetables.

Overall, I give Mariachis Burger House a 10/10 rating and I shall return hungry for more.
