Review: Trying a new drink from the Starbucks Holiday Menu

Festive drinks are back in season

On Thursday, Nov. 3, Starbucks released its 2022 Holiday Drink Menu. The coffee selections on the menu consisted of the Peppermint Mocha, Iced Sugar Cookie Almond Milk Latte, Caramel Brulèe Latte, Toasted White Chocolate Mocha, Chestnut Praline Latte and the Irish Cream Cold Brew.

On the day the Starbucks menu released, I tried the Iced Sugar Cookie Almond Milk Latte. I ordered it the way it comes but with the addition of sweet cream cold foam to the top.

When I first received the drink, the first thing I noticed was how it smelled. It smelt exactly like a sugar cookie. With that scent in mind, I was even more excited to try it. Within the first sip I instantly knew this drink was amazing.

The iced coffee tasted like I was biting into a holiday themed sugar cookie. It was very sweet, yet you could still taste the espresso, which is what I liked the most about it. In my opinion you can drink it without the sweet cream cold foam, and it would still taste yummy. That was something that didn’t really need to be added but I just enjoy it with all of my drinks even when I make my coffee at home.

I’m excited to try more holiday drinks from Starbucks since this was my first time, however I know that if I do not like any others, I can always go back to ordering the Iced Sugar Cookie Almond Milk Latte and I would always be pleased with it.
