Money hungry international games

Since 2005 the National Football League (NFL) has been playing games outside the United States since then they have had 41 games internationally.

Every year the NFL schedules bad teams to play at 8:30 a.m. this causes players to play poorly and have extremely low viewership.

Except for this past weekend, in which they put a possible “game of the year” at 8:30 a.m. that negatively impacted their performance.

Players have repeatedly gone on record to state they do not like playing in a different time zone and complained about the field conditions.

However, the NFL only seems to care about money going in and money going out with the Commissioner Rodger Goodell wanting to establish a league in Europe.

I believe the market in Europe is not good enough to hold their own league because it isn’t their strongest ranked sport.

Along with the small market in Europe there are no diehard fans such as the United States in which fans show up and show out every weekend.

However, I do have a silver lining- the international games in Mexico City showcase high elevation football and true fans.

My last concern with the international games is Fantasy Football.

When I play Fantasy Football, I rather watch my players lose after putting up a fight than wake up to a losing squad due to preventable jetlag.

In conclusion international games are trash and the only people who like them are money hungry, Rodger Goodell.
