Where you lead, I will follow

A ‘Gilmore Girls’ poem by Alexzandra Garcia

To some, you are a fall show, to some you are a spring show, but to me, you are an everyday show.

I fall asleep to Lorelei Gilmore’s fast-talking wit. I detest season five when Rory wants to quit, and I know everyone loves him, but to me, Jess is just a mess.

At times when life gets hard, I truly know that I can depend on this little show, with characters so gung-ho they’ll make you wanna buy a boa and drive off to Reno just like Emily Gilmore did when she let Richard know how far she would truly go to climb out of her basement window.

So as spring comes to a close, the heat of summer comes and goes. All the fans of this original WB show will still wonder about what some don’t know…why the cliffhanger at the end though?

Yes, the age-old debate will live on, but it doesn’t matter who’s right or wrong. What matters is that at the end of the day, ‘There She Goes’ will start to play in the background of the beginning scene of the pilot episode then Lorelei goes, “please Luke, please Luke, please!”

Because fans of “Gilmore Girls” all agree, that whatever the season, whatever the weather, our rewatch of “Gilmore Girls” makes everything better.
