Review: Duped again! E.l.f continues their trend of luxury beauty remakes

Another win for the girls with a budget

Following its trend of creating successful dupes of high-end makeup products the coveted makeup brand, e.l.f has done it again.

Last year, the infamous Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil went viral online and quickly sold out in stores and online.

However with the price point of $40, many makeup lovers couldn’t indulge on this lip product.

It didn’t take long for e.l.f, the ever duping drugstore brand, to come out with their own spin on the famous lip oils, appropriately titled Glow Revival Lip Oils.

As soon as I saw these in stock at my local H-E-B I knew I had to give them a try.

The Glow Revival Lip Oil comes in seven different shades, ranging from a crystal clear to a deeper plum color.

I purchased two shades, Honey Talks, which is a nude brownish colored tint, and Rose Envy, which is a pinker nude tint.

When applying them, I didn’t notice much of a scent or flavor from them which isn’t bad, but I do prefer fruitier lip oils. They leave a nice color which looks good alone or on top of any lipstick.

Now I couldn’t give a fair review without at least trying the Dior lip oil as well, so I managed to go try a sample at Sephora and compared both products.

There was not any noticeable difference between the two products. The Dior product just had a more pleasant smell.

All in all, I think e.l.f has perfectly executed yet another dupe of a high end and highly sought after makeup product, and I can’t wait to see what they do next.
